How the LabelChop watch folder works

The watch folder is the folder LabelChop monitors for new shipping label PDFs.

Most users choose their Downloads folder because that is where MyPost Business labels usually save.

What happens when a PDF appears

When a PDF lands in the watched folder, LabelChop checks whether it looks like a supported shipping label. If it can detect the label, it crops the label area and sends it to your selected thermal printer.

Important details

• LabelChop must be running when the PDF appears.

• If LabelChop was closed when the file downloaded, move the PDF out of the folder and back in, or print it manually.

• Regular PDFs and unrelated files should be ignored.

• You can use a custom folder if you do not want LabelChop watching Downloads.

Best practice

Create a dedicated folder called Shipping Labels or Labels to Print if your Downloads folder is messy.

Then configure your browser or MyPost workflow to save label PDFs there.
